Jessica Lee grew up in northern California and now resides in the Pacific Northwest. She was a finalist for the 2017 So to Speak Poetry Contest selected by Natalie Diaz and the 2017 Greg Grummer Poetry Award selected by Monica Youn.
She holds a BA in Creative Writing and a minor in Dance from Western Washington University. While at Western, she worked as an editor for Jeopardy Magazine and as a Writing Assistant and Student Coordinator for Western’s Research and Writing Studio.
She has since served as an Assistant Poetry Editor for Narrative Magazine and Poetry Editor for Sweet Tree Review. She has also interned for Copper Canyon Press and was a member of the Sue C. Boynton Poetry Committee in 2017.
Her work is forthcoming in CALYX Journal, Grist, The Journal, The Literary Review, The New Yorker, and The Rumpus.
